The Music for Prelude to Winter began as a random piano improvisation a few weeks ago. I had recorded the ideas and listened back to them with hopeful ears. As I began to develop the music, initially thinking it would be for solo piano I realized that a small chamber ensemble would really be beautiful. I hope that you will enjoy this short prelude.
